IMPCO on the Fast Track, Named to Fast 50

Cerritos, Calif., August 20, 2001–-Deloitte & Touche has named IMPCO Technologies Inc., to its "2001 Los Angeles Technology Fast 50" program, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing companies in Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.

IMPCO, a source of alternative fuel systems technology for internal combustion engines, was named to the list based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1996-2000 (five-year period). Mr. Robert Stemmler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IMPCO Technologies said, "IMPCO is extremely delighted to be recognized for the second time in two years by Deloitte & Touche as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Los Angeles. To qualify for the Los Angeles Technology Fast 50, companies must be in business for a minimum of five years; must not be a subsidiary or division; must have 1995 revenues of at least $50,000 and 1999 revenues of $1,000,000 or more; must be considered a technology company, which is defined as producing technology. Manufacturing a technology related product, being technologically intensive or using technology in problem solving, or devoting a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology; must be headquarter in Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.
